ACE PILOTS is a collaborative program involving student mentees, parents / guardians / caregivers, mentors, teachers, school administrators, and Board members, with volunteers from military, government, private sector, and community based organizations, focused on providing mentoring with technology tools, training, knowledge and skills that will allow students to compete successfully for meaningful jobs and lifelong careers.

Goal of ACE PILOTS: to close the digital divide that exists among publicly supported schools and their students.

Objectives of ACE PILOTS: to increase by 10% —

(1) the computer knowledge and skills of ACE student mentees;

(2) the interest and confidence of ACE student mentees in using science, technology, engineering, and math – STEM – tools and skill sets;

(3) the ACE student mentee knowledge of STEM in lifelong applications and in the competitive global marketplace.

The resources the ACE PILOTS program provides are volunteer mentors, and assistance with laptops/PCs, software, internet connectivity, training, and meaningful activities that increase the confidence of ACE student mentees and their families/caregivers in using technology, which in turn increases the ACE student mentee’s competitive advantage in obtaining a job and developing a lifelong career.
